Thanks for the pics and tips. The stance looks great. Really gets rid of a lot of air gap and I'm looking forward to a fairly even gap all around. I'll try to add to the conversation and document how my installation goes too. After this will be a new rear spoiler and 18" wheels.

I just installed the Ti Handling Pack rear shocks. MUCH better matched to the ST struts with my MS3 springs. The Ti compression damping wasn't as extreme as the MZ5 rear shocks, but the rebound damping is greater with the Ti shocks. You get more control, smoother ride, and less bounciness.

shortening the bump stops?

Did you, or do you advise to, cut off part of the strut bump stops to account for the lowering? If so, how much? Thanks.

So as far as alignment goes, it seems that no one with these springs did anything? Did anyone get it checked and find it in spec?

So for those that have done springs, I take it
will not work. I rented one without really checking it out, and it seems like this is the wrong type This needs to be in the middle to work, which obviously won't fit with the strut there. I just need to do the front now (rear done).

Edit: and I just read the little pamphlet. One side is a short arm, the other a long arm. Hopefully one will be enough to do just the front.

I got a set of these cheapies from Harbor Freight. Haven't used them yet. Not sure if it's the best tool for the job.

That seems to be the type these guys used.

I cut my front springs yesterday, and the rears are installed. If you haven't done yours yet, the rears are easy. I just wasted so much time messing around/trying to figure it out. Just undo the brackets that hold the sway bar to the car (2 on each side, 4 bolts total 13mm). You'll need a deep well socket for the top, and short well for the bottom. Then undo the main bolts that hold the spindle to the control arm. 15mm. You'll have to jack up the spring quite a bit to get the holes to line up/reduce shear force. Then it will slide out and you can lower the jack. With your sway bar free you then push down on the lower control arm and the springs pop out!

The rears do sound easy and the Eibach link will help a lot on the front. Thanks for sharing those.

I found this video that does a pretty good job of showing the basic process for replacing the front springs on a Mazda3 which should be very similar to the Focus. There are lots of videos for the Mazda3 strut replacement which is the same process to replace the springs.
