No thanx, I've had plenty of cammed up v/8 cars in bumper to bumper traffic.

Update: What a difference a tune makes. Everyone told me that I didn't need a tune to get a benefit out of this TB and I must say that I disagree. I am only on my second tune and already my car no longer feels like I'm driving around with the e-brake on, which was my impression when I first put the TB on; it felt like something was holding the car back. Now, I love it. The sound brings a smile to my face; I've found myself turning off the radio just to listen to it; the mighty 2.3 GROWLS!

I already have a titanium wrapped F2 sitting in the garage right now so just waiting to find a good used SS exhaust (I buy everything secondhand) but yes, I am starting to get the power bug and cams are really the last "bolt on" I can do after exhaust. Before any of that I need to work on reliability so baffle and BSD, then safety (SVT brakes in all 4 corners). After that its new engine build time.

Hey Cory, What kind of motor build up you going to do? rods/pistons ranger crank & 1 piece ss valves perhaps? Which cams you going w/? 1st think do the bsd plug for sure. Awesome super cheap upgrade, that you'll love. How 'bout CFM's udp's? Oh how 'bout a torsen also? You know you want it.

We've already talked about my motor plans you silly cat! I had a BSD before on my old motor, I wouldn't drop the pan just for that but since I have to drop it to put the baffle in and they come as a package from GP-WERKS.

When I do the clutch (many miles before I have to worry about that.....my drivetrain is only at 55k) I will do some form of LSD and hopefully I will have found a set of 4.06 gears by then. That's the kind of parts I buy and lock up in my garage for when I get around to using them because they're never for sale used when you need them and AFAIK you can't buy the 4.06 gears new anymore. Clutchwise I will go with a Centerforce Dual Friction. I had one in my tRacer and used it for AutoX and never had an issue. I absolutely loved that clutch.

If I do cams this summer I will probably just do Stage 1. I don't want to invest a lot in a motor I may replace next summer and I want to be able to sell it as a whole. I would love some Stage 3 with a loping idle. Saw a YouTube video of an SRT4 with them and the sound was music to my ears. I had never heard a cammed 4 banger but it sounded sweet. Impractical, but sweet.

I couldnt agree more. Contact William at CFM. I have the same throttle body on my motor. Even though the motor is completely built i have a little bit of lag in the lower range. Its almost like the ecu cannot add enough fuel in time to keep up with the increased air intake and responsiveness. Another thing I can suggest is getting the ECU tuned to make up for the difference. I have not yet tuned my car yet but I know when I do it will be night and day. Good luck man.

Tuned made a world of difference. I am on my 3rd and each has been better than the one before. Tom works wonders.
