Need help. o2 sensor problem?

My friend has a 2002 focus zx3 with a 5 speed manual. He was pulling into a driveway and hit a BIG rock smashing the exhaust manifold/down pipe up, breaking the o2 sensors and wrapping the o2 sensor wiring around the axle? Or at least that's what he said, I haven't had a chance to look at the car.

Anyways, he said he straighten out the exhaust and replaced the o2 sensors. The car still ran fine BEFORE he attempted the repair.

He said he ran the codes and said it said something about missfires on all cylinders, something about DTR, and a code po115.

Does anybody have any advice I can pass his way?

Normally I wouldn't join a forum just to ask a single question, but I'm looking at getting a svt for a daily driver so I figured why not.

If the car ran fine before work was done, and not after, the solution is nearly always found in the work that was done. (i personally am not a big believer in coincidence. I have done just enough work to know not to trust myself... lol)

I would go back through everything step by step and triple check everything 4 times. if the wiring for the sensors got wrapped around the axle, putting it all back together properly might require rewiring everything.

best thing to do is look at everything he did and find out what went wrong.

BTW: if your friend is driving an 02 zx3, he does not have the SPI engine, but the zetec. so that forum would probably be more helpful to the specific motor. I am sure a moderator will be kind enough to move this thread to get you information from people who are more familiar with your particular engine.
