Don't use anything on them that you wouldn't use on your paint. Aluminum polish will take the clearcoat off, and they'll tarnish soon after that. Simple Green, Soap, warm water and a dedicated microfiber mitt are the best things you can use.

If your wheels are new and in pretty good shape, which they should be, just use a wheel wax to keep them protected. I've used Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish with lots of success ... wheels, exhaust tips, ect. But you won't need anything that strong on a new wheel.

don't use simple green or metal polishes. Simple green will eat away your clear coat and metal polishes will rub it away. Just use car wash soap when cleaning them. If they start to look a little hazy or dingy, just use some polish as you would for your car paint.

meguires has a few product just for this so look into it. Just keep in mind that metal polish for wheels is intended for metal without painted coatings
