In a couple weeks I will be receiving my tax refund and like any normal responsible gear head I'm pouring the whole thing into the svt
![]() Parts list: Head – $1657 + 250 core Supertech 10.6:1 pistons – $437 Eagle rods – $307 Cat Cams – $679 Clevite H series rod and main bearing sets – $159 ARP Main studs - 89 ARP Head studs – $129 Fel Pro bottom half gasket set - 67 Ford MLS Head gasket (which one do you want? .027” reg zetec .041” svt)VCT Delete kit – $35 Single Massive cam gear bolt – $19 Am I forgetting anything?????? Not going to have the money for forced induction...so I'm thinking about adding a small dos of N2O to the mix. I'm not going to be doing the rebuild myself I have a mechanic to do it, I don't trust myself with 4K+ in parts but I will be pulling the motor out myself and removeing the trans/ clutch and other items Are there any prep work that's needs to be done to the block?

there's no performance related shops around me to get it done at least none that I would trust. All the shops around here in 2 doing loud obnoxious systems and large rims.

Where are you finding cams for that price?
For that it can't be the decent set that I want, which require new springs too. IIRC the ones I wanted clocked in just over $1,100 all said and done. Too much to stomach for unknown results. Regardless, keep me posted on final dyno numbers. I still want/need cams and if I knew what was possible on them I might part with money a bit easier. |

copy and pasted the parts list straight from the email I got from massive performance.
The head I'm getting from them has the crower titanium springs and retainers I'm hoping to get it on a dyno but there's no shops around me to have one. So I will be doing the tuning remotely from tom... From wat I've read from others I should be making around 200hp then little extra on the spray

To my knowledge there isn't a single cam'd SVT that has posted a dyno on this side of the pond. Further, What cam is Karl selling ... and how is he $100 less then CFM? (but only 1 cam option that I'm seeing) 200 is a tall number. W/O knowing what cam it really is, I'd bet you're not going to see it W/O adding RPM. |

I've been reving to 8K for the last couple years on just the CFM pump. I've lucked out so far.
Dry sump is best, but plumbing and such is tougher. THe cost isn't really that great, IIRC it's under $1,000 all said and done. But again, it's added cost. Rebuilding/repairing a stock engine costs about the same. So for me it's not cost effective. |
