Now I'm a official member

Guys/Gals,

I joined this forum back in 2008 just looking for info on my lady (owned a 2008 SES coupe) car at the time. I own a F-150 that I use to get my bikes and forth to the track and events. I never needed to drive truck but I'm working an assignment out of state which requires me to drive everyday and with gas prices rising like the sun I decided that I needed a true DD (daily driver) and since I'm a Ford guy the Focus was perfect. I was able to pick up this clean 2010 SES Coupe with factory warranty remaining in Sunbury, Pa loaded with everything except leather which I didn't want for a DD, the only mod I've done so far is tint the windows 35% and the only other mod I will do is HID's, LED license plate bulbs and remote start. I thought about a small system (speakers, amp and sub)but I don't really want to lose the information screen if I add a receiver so If I do anything maybe I will skip the receiver I just know that if I don't like that sound then I'm going to want a receiver but I'm not looking to spend money right now just trying to drive, save gas and enjoy it.

2010
Blue Flame Metallic
SES Coupe
moon and tune pkg (focus premium sound system)
5sp manual
ambient lighting
My Key
17" wheels

Nice ride man . That style is my favorite hands down. What are you planning for modifications?

In regards to your HID's, that all depends on what you want it to look like, how much you want to spend, and how much work you want to do.

Considering the license plate bulbs are not regular 12V but upwards of 13-14V, I would get the bulbs from here: http://store.42draftdesigns.com/145v...-LED_p_32.html.

**Make sure you get quanity 2!**

For $13.00, these bulbs have lasted myself and many others a long time. They also look great.

As for a remote start, it depends on how much you are looking to spend and who will be installing it.

I would have to disagree with Sam on the license plate LED's from superbrightleds.com

I would go to
http://store.42draftdesigns.com/145v...-LED_p_32.html
I have had them in my car for a year with no issues, if I remember correctly (IIRC) I thought some members had problems with their license plate LED's they got from Superbrightleds.com

As for HID's, just adding them to your stock lights without projects will get you some butthurt here. The retrofitsource (do it yourself) is where it's at if you want to add HID's to your car. But if you don't want to do it yourself and sending them to their factory to complete the job for you is too expensive, you can always get one of the eagle eye sets on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/08-10-FOCUS-...b989b2&vxp=mtr

I don't have them but from what I have read from others the cutoff varies from one to the next and the output and cutoff don't look as good as the headlights people retrofit. But that's just my opinion.

On any forum not adding projectors will get your butt hurt, i would likemto see some pics b4 i shoot them down, how hard or easy is the install? I saw the ebay ones and they're to cheap looking and I'm not trying to make the car look cheesy no offense to those who purchase them you like what u like but I don't like em. I've always dealt with superbrightleds so what is the issue with their license plate light?
