Which mount was "beefed" up? The rear motor mount is still very flimsy on stock job 2 2012+ builds, and even the mazda speed 3 one while initially being a bit stiffer still isn't enough to prevent wheel hop and or axle clanging when the traction control tries to fight to regain power over the throttle.

I don't like going near open throttle with the car in first gear either stationary or on a moderate roll as it tends to clang violently with the traction control on, and spin the tires with it off, at least it did with the stock 16" wheels, not sure if I've tried with the tcs off yet, but with it on it does the same basic thing.

Passenger mount, apparently.

Perhaps this issue was addressed by some rolling changes to the hardware that have been rolled out on more recently built cars, including revised "long-shoulder rivets" in the clutch itself, to reduce chatter/vibration during launch, and new right-hand engine mounts to quell a vibration at idle. The shifter itself is revised to make it harder to overshoot "Drive" and end up in "S."

I'm not sure about the latter, although based on when the article was written it was a Job 1 rolling change rather than one made for Job 2. Late in job 1 sure, but job 2 wouldn't start until on or after 3/5/12.

What exactly was changed about the passenger mount? I'm not sure I've seen much evidence other than this article to say so.

I don't know, but fordparts has the new mounts (part# 6038) in vehicles built between: 8/8/2011 and 2/3/2013. So yes - a job 1 change.

(And I presume anything after 2/3/2013 was a 2013 model year.)

My car has this mount for the passenger side (uppper engine mount): CV6Z-6038-C BRACKET - ENGINE FRONT SUPPORT

So my guess was that either the first version may have been rev b or rev a, and the 13 part would have a different prefix, maybe DV6Z-6038-A or something, but without a vin from that build range I can't check.

I might not be able to check for this information soon, so there goes nothing.

Hopefully that's slightly helpful.

I seem to have some sort of "bounce" noise when going over bumpy terrain at low speeds, kinda sounds like I have cargo in the trunk thats jumping around. For example, going into the parking garage at work, there's a little lip in the front. I notice it when I go over that at maybe 10-15mph.

I also have a weird constant low volume "tapping" noise when driving over smooth pavement, sounds like its coming from my front passenger wheel. I notice this only a stretch of road on my way home, so I'm usually going 50mph ish.

Also, today I started hearing a "click" inside my glove box when turning on and off my high beams...

I have that too. I'm not worried about it - I think clicking relays are normal. I asked google.

Did you always have it or did it develop? You're right I don't think its anything to worry about, its just one of those things you don't want to have on a new vehicle...

Not sure - but I didn't notice it until a few months ago. But living where there is so much traffic, I only use my high beams like 3 times a year. I have more important issues to pursue with this vehicle. Like my clutch, motor mount, reprogramming the ACM, possibly reprogramming the BCM, fixing my own interior rattles, etc. lol

I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that I'll be replacing these components myself even though they're failing within my 125k mile warranty.

When I got home and went to back into my parking spot, I also noticed the same click when putting the car in and out of reverse...
