Focus Rookie
|
no spark
2003 spi just replaced. Turns over fine, nice and strong. Will not fire. Sprayed starter fluid in teh TB, no change. I can hear fuel pump energize. Pulled # 1 plug, held near manifold, no spark. Where do i start?

Check for spark at the other cylinders. If there's no spark at any plug, it's either coil failure or the coil isn't getting 12V. You should see 12V at the center wire of the coil connector plug with ignition on.

I would check the crank trigger sensor first , if it looks good on the end (remove to check it) then next check the coil plug in for loose or broken wires
