2013 headlight switch in a 2012?

I know the switch will physically fit and plug right in but just doing a plug n play does not get the trunk or hatch release to work from inside the car. Does anyone know how to get this working. My best guess is to get someone at the dealer service dept to go into the programming and turn on the feature.

For those who don't know what I'm referring to, the 13's have a button on the headlight switch assy to open the trunk/hatch while the 12's do not. It may sound stupid and petty but I really miss having a button on the inside of the car.

The computers are programmed differently. The dealer can probably do it if they want. They may need to use a different vin# unless they are willing to change the parameters and not input the vin.

There is plenty of conflicting information on computer mods so you'll have to ask at the dealer.

With the warranty in effect most dealers will NOT do such a change.
Even with no warranty problem, most dealers will not do it for you.
Though a few might be interested in trying it. It will cost you, whether it works or not.

I'm not too worried about finding someone who will do it. I already have someone. I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it yet and if they were successful.
