If your airbag warning light doesn't light up for a second or two when you start the car it is likely burned out. the car will chime you to death until you fix the bulb. So check that too.

You can check your instrument cluster warning lights by using the electronic odometer trick. It's very simple: key off, press and hold trip odometer reset button, turn key on, continue to hold the reset button. Release the button when the odometer reads [test]. Now each time you press and release the odo reset button you'll scroll through one of 30 test functions. The first is gauges. The second is [leds], and all the dash lights will light up. Dash lights will light up for things that you don't even have, but don't worry- that's normal.
