You can still go ahead and buy an extra PATS key on-line key, or two and have them cut. When I bought mine I paid $8/ea and went to my local dealer and my service writer did one for free and I programmed the others on my own. The remotes can be programmed by you w/ instructions provided. I bought extra ones too.
You might have to bite the bullet on having a dealer program an extra key. When I bought my car I only received one key, so they may have been a little sympathetic, and wanted to maintain me as a new customer. IDK A work around, well, good luck on that. Get extra keys/remotes and it'll pay for itself in the future... GL

Ok thanks guys. Just had a locksmith cut and program a second pats key.. Question! Does a ford fusion key (built in fob) work with 2000 focus? If so, with the 2 pats keys I have now can I just get one cut and program it myself (both fob and key part?)

Depends on if your second key is truly a second key, or a clone of the first key.

Did the locksmith connect to your car, or did he just need the key?

It has power door locks, so I chanced it and ordered a remote fob off ebay for like $12
Programmed it like the instructions said, and it worked.
Best $12 I spent on a car
Score! I love it when things work out like that.

So i didnt see anything on here about manual locks. fat chance but can i buy a remote and program it to open my truck and at least lock my doors? i have manual windows and really want power windows and power locks. in 04 i thought every car pretty much had electronic everything manual mirrors and windows and locks threw me back to the stone age a little bit i think.
