i got a 2003 ford focus and nothing is wrong with it at all no problems except it seems to take a while to start, longer then i think it should. it takes about 5-6 seconds to start... it starts everytime and is fine except the fact it takes a while to crank over? why is it doing this

Try turning the key "on" wait 3-5 seconds, then hit the starter.
(for troubleshooting reasons, not as a permanent fix)

just curious you said you just bought it how many miles are on it? i cant convert km to Miles sorry. my focus i just bought 69,000 miles on it and it was a fleet vehicle. so im guessing they just got rid of it cause it was out of warranty. Anyways i was going to say the one thing people dont really do is do a tune-up it may solve your issues. My brother-in-law's mustang took forever to start up and he did a tune up now it fires up right away so i would start with that if that dont work then come back to the old drawing board. so i would have to agree with Pasta

123mal, usually this is caused by a weak fuel pump, or partially clogged fuel filter. I would change the fuel filter first. this is why elsolo asked if it started right away after turning key to on and waiting a bit.

And also, where are you buying your gas? Read the following:
