Ya, I remember reading that one. This is real and this is my goal. Just like everything else, I will build as I have money and my goal is to be driving it a year from now in the spring.

I'm just curious on my you did not get a Escort/Sierra AWD system to put in there? Not speaking of a Cosworth as they came in in AWD with other motor options. Even the Mondeo came with AWD and a transverse mounted 2.0 Zetec.

Parts availability. All those parts u spoke of are available in Europe but none are available here it the states. DSM parts are essentially everywhere here. I'm really excited to see this project progress and how it all comes together.

You got it exactly. Parts, previous knowledge of the cars, and ease/cost of upgrades. Plus the DSM 5 speed trans will mate with one of the stock 8.8 gear ratios (forget which one right now). That is the key to making this AWD without a major cost. If this goes well, I might look into getting another one at some point and use Ford parts, but right now I am looking at cost of make it AWD combined with the cost of turbo. Making an AWD with an NA 2.0 really wouldn't be worth the trouble.

looking forward to seeing some one actually attempt this. even if it never gets finished at least you can say you were the only one on here to stop talking about it and try it.

i was so close to doing a full evo drive train swap when i did my turbo lsx. price and power potential is what made me go with the lsx. plus i already have a sti lol.

are you going with a irs 8.8 or solid axle?
