Considering that some of the Ford parts have failed some folks with less than 80k mi makes me think other wise. I have yet to hear about a Gates tensioner or idler pulley fail. To each their own though and go with what you feel is better for your car. Either way though it's not a good idea to wait on changing the t-belt on any SVT focus.

^^ Agree. Many, including myself, have seen and felt the aftermath of a TBelt going out on our cars. Not a fun price for the wallet at all.
