I had them in for over a year and they stayed clean enough on the inside. Maybe a little film but nothing really noticeable.
Someone asked earlier about colors. If you go to Michaels art/craft store, they sell cans of Krylon that is made for coloring glass and its around $10. Just put a number of coats on it, lightly, to get them colored. They have red and yellow usually. Did this on my forester and it looks great. The light comes out very yellow as well, no need for colored bulbs....

Wow wish I done this years ago. Mine are pitted to shit. Not to mention some of the brackets are broken and the one just kinda "floats" down there lol.

This is an awesome idea, and I already have the Lexan as well as the necessary Dremel bit. However, I'm having a lot of trouble finding the yellow tint paint. Michaels didn't have it, Neither Lowe's nor Home Depot carry anything like it, and Autozone carries Metalcast (similar paint effect) in every color except yellow. I hate to pay $7 shipping for a single can of the stuff, but so far, online's been the only place I can find it.
