I too have been in the situation; I park at the end of the lot, nobody is around. Get back to the car an hour later and some (person) parks <2 feet away and making it impossible for me to get back in. There may or may not be a dent on my driver side door, but I can't see it, and even if there was an issue, I'd be hard pressed to scratch or dent in return - even if I wanted to, and emotions do run high in these situations because people in "society" can't be bothered to act decently. (And it's always been like that, I fear...)

Get a valve core tool. Wait a month or so until you know he's not watching his car as closely. Go out at night and pull the cores, flat the tires, then put the cores back in and caps back on. He comes out to 4 flat tires, has to have it towed, calls cops, and then when he gets to the tire shop they fill them up and say there is no damage to the tires. Or just do 1 tire every once in a while.

Almost the same here. Lived in some apartments where I had a fellow tenant, a party girl, who would park too close to my car. I noticed that one of her boyfriends drove a 1999 Mustang and one day I went out to my car and noticed a serious ding on my front right door. About 2 inches wide. What gave it away that it was done by the Mustang is I know the doors on those cars are heavy and since the old Mustang was white I knew it had a fine coat of oxidized paint and it left an arc of paint in line with the 2 inch dent on my car.
And I have a nice paint job on there.
Also, only 7 months into my Focus ownership, some old codger put a slight baseball sized dent on the right rear fender when he was backing out of a parking space.
Gotta watch out for those old timers. It was too much of an inconvenience, me with no time to get the dent repaired so I just left it there.
First thing people notice, tho, whenever we start talking about my car.
I like the car a lot, but "Ford Service" from what I have been reading here and also from personal experience is definitely not up to par. Get with it Ford.

That sucks my friend. Update from my end, I had it PDR'd. It cost me about 80 bucks and it's nearly totally gone. The only part which is still visible is the small indent on the crease of the doorskin.

I'm happy it's barely noticeable and only from certain angles, but still pissed at the prick upstairs. C'est la vie.

This reminds me of the kids in my old high school parking lot. I swear I watch (usually a girl talking on the phone or something) park his/her vehicle and open the door and deliberately slam it into the car next to them, a few times a week. Most kids in Centerville Ohio have money so they really dont care or own up to there accidents.

That's almost exactly where the dent on my car is. Same side. On that raised ridge. Only about 4 inches up from where your dent is. Oh well. It really bothered me for awhile, then the old man backed into my car. Some things you just gotta live with. I moved out of those apartments.
From what I've read here on these forums, apartment parking is the worst thing for your new car.

You should see the passenger side of my Subaru. It looks like the moon from clowns in parking garages that can't park and don't care about anything. I gave of caring after the 3rd ding. I still avoid parking in bad spots and next to beat cars but anymore it is not worth it. It is very frustrating though. I will admit on several occasions some offenders of bad park jobs felt wrath that in hindsight didn't really fix anything.
