You may have been talking about that, but I can assure you that the person with the Nexus 4 was not. His phone has no metadata with anything. Regardless whether he is streaming locally stored music over Bluetooth, or Pandora.

Same here. I'm running 4.1. Now granted, I am running a custom kernel that may well be using a different BT stack. I will try it with my wife's GS3 which is stock to see if that works better.

Looks like your problem has more to do with Android and those apps not correctly supporting AVRCP 1.3 than with MFT.

There is an .apk in this thread for Pandora that fixes the metadata issue for that app, granted it is an older version of Pandora.

Ok - thanks for the information. I'm not sure why It worked with my old phone and old radio then, unless cyanogen mod 10.1 was tweaked to make it work.

If you look at post #2905, he asks specifically about Pandora and Slacker. No matter though as the information you posted about avrcp looks right on the money.

Thanks for the links. Looks like I have a bit of research to do.

It seems like there is anecdotal evidence out there that say the Apps work and that the Galaxy S3 works. I'm just not sure if they work together yet.
I'll try those patches and see if that gets me anywhere.

I’m hoping someone can help me with a MFT/iPhone question. Just about on a daily basis while I’m driving, I listen to radio stations on my iPhone via the TuneIn Radio, radioPup, or iHeartRadio apps. I always plug the iPhone into a special connector cord from Apple that uses A/V plugs + a USB plug. I like using this cord better than using Bluetooth because it keeps my phone charged. Just about every time I initially connect the iPhone to this cord, I have to listen through the A/V selection on MFT, but sometimes after disconnecting & reconnecting the iPhone several times during the next 20 minutes or so, the iPhone will show up on MFT as the USB setting & I can then listen through the USB setting. I prefer listening through the USB selection because I can control the pause/play & forward/reverse controls through the steering wheel or on the MFT screen. Can someone tell me how I can get MFT to recognize my iPhone on the USB setting every time I connect my iPhone to this cable? Thanks.

unistyle, I installed the modified Pandora app that you directed me to and it works great, Thanks.

So this really is looking like an app issue. I'm surprised at the number of apps that don't support AVRCP 3.1. Very disappointing.

hey, i just wanted to post this new issue with the software update ford did in dec.
Ever since we got the car in aug of 2011 we have never had issues with the software other than the odd nav freeze...not a big deal....
We got snow tires in dec and they did a mytouch update as well....now there are some messed up issues....

If i shut the car off, leave the music playing and turn on the car...it will switch sources to av in.....and i will have to switch it to usb manually.
the fix to this is to force mytouch to shut down (open the door)...and when i start the car again it will still be on usb as normal.
The other issues is the rear view camera never has the right guide lines...it will randomly lose or add the wheel lines....lose or add the sensor boxes. Its soo random. It doesn't even matter if i manually adjust the settings....it will just do what it want it seems.
I stopped caring as i dont really need the visual assistance.

anyways...its kinda funny how i have never had an issue amongst all the reported issues. Arent updates supposed to make things better?...lol
