Lightbulb A $20 Short Ram

Hey guys whats up?

I've been getting a decent amount of questions asking how to do a short ram as seen in the first picture below. I AM NOT LIABLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO TO YOUR CAR!

AEM Filter

K&N Filter

Spectre Filter

I recommend using a Specter Air Filter as pictured because of the ease of fit with the stock parts. The stock piece i will be showing you has a 3.25" opening. Just the size of the opening on the filter.

It is finally time that i take the time and sit down to write up exactly what i had done.

*NOTE! IN ORDER FOR YOU TO DO THIS YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE YOUR STOCK INTAKE ALREADY REMOVED*

1.Remove the stock lifetime filter by undoing the two bolts and loosen the pipe clamp holding the rubber cover over the throttle body.

2.Remove the pipe from the ACTUAL AIR FILTER BOX! Image below for the piece i am talking about.

3.Remove your MAF sensor before Proceeding to step 4!

4.Place the tube with the throttle body housing away from you and on the left. Cut the tube on the RIGHT side of the RIGHT ridge.

5.Take a filter with a 3.25" opening and insert the tube in the filter as pictured below.

6.Place and tighten the MAF sensor back into the tube and insert the cut end into the throttle body opening as shown.

*DO NOT FORGET TO PLUG THE MAF SENSOR BACK IN*

7.The tube may fit loose but hold it in place and tighten it until it is like the picture below.

*ONLY INSERT THE TUBE UNTIL THE RIDGE AS PICTURED ABOVE!*

8.Start your car and drive "around the block" making sure you have even acceleration and have no jerking around.

(At first i had inserted the tube in the opposite direction and the MAF sensor was reading negative values. This caused the car to lurk and the pedal be planted to the floor and me not move an inch while in drive)

9.Enjoy driving around hearing your cone filter!

Please let me know if you have any suggestion or something you would like me to add or if there is anything that more explaining!

Thanks!
