side pipe mod :D Rocks!

i love the look of a clean rear end on a focus so i had to get my focus side piped it sounds so much better than straight piped in the back and it looks nicer. ill post video of it tommarrow it sounds so freaking awesome but best of all its super quiet. hopefully soon im gona get the cpu flashed for straight pipe so i can gain alil horses. the mod is awesome for what it is. ill post pics and video tommarrow you guys have to hear this think it pops like a mother Fer lol too. if you like the sound of rally cars this is the mod for you!

absolutely nothing in the world wrong with side pipe. less restrictive because the bend is less severe and it CAN sound really good. but you cant lower the car much and you have to be careful about speed humps and stuff like that.

Also some folks need to remember that a side exhaust is illegal for those who have to pass inspections. It's a form over function mod and if done right it can be pulled off but not all cars pull it off.

Not necessarily illegal if you do it on a zx3. Just has to exit out the back or side of the vehicle beyond the passenger compartment and past the doors. On a zx5 it is a no no. At least in Texas.

If the stock exhaust exits behind the rear wheels then any aftermarket one would have to also in most states but who's really going to get a ticket for it if you live outside of Cali.

I personally have never heard of anyone getting a ticket for illegal exhaust except for in Cali of course where they site you for ANYTHING when you get pulled over.
