I understand most anything can have issues with today's technology. It is just very disappointing when you make your 1st payment one week and the car dies the next.

One thing I have noticed is that the DI engine seems to be kinda sensitive to shitty or low octane gas. On decent gas the car purrs, on crap gas the car hesitates, shakes, sputters, etc.

I stopped filling up with the discount gas at my local supermarket because of this. I suspect the octane was actually lower than 87. I have been filling up at the local BP and the car runs well.

Thanks for the offer, I am going to let the dealership see what they can do first. Since I had not heard from them, I just called; they stated that their techs have not completed their review.

Got my car back last night - the dealership, working with the Ford Techs, found it to be the fuel pump in the gas tank. Pressure was intermittent - low as 47 PSI vs spec of 72PSI (Error code of P00C6).

They replaced the sender and pump assembly.

Guess what - the car behaves completely different than I remember. It does not hesitate and my gas mileage on day 1 is already almost 3 MPG better...
