I fail to see, in my mind's eye, how that would look in the engine bay. As already mentioned, the bend makes it less appealing.

I can't visualize it either, although I think the bend might not be rigid, it might be flexible hose? I don't know. I've decided that it's a universal, which wouldn't be good, I don't think. I will wait on changing intake, no hurry anyway.

I don't think it can be flexible...only because the description states that it is a smooth surface for airflow.

I personally have the K&N Typhoon intake and I love it, I've also heard good things about the Steeda and FSwerks intakes as well so if I were you I would save up an extra $60 or so and buy an intake made for the focus. Just search around the forum and read what people have to say about the different intakes/brands etc.. it will give you an idea of what might work best for you. Good Luck!

Truth. Hmm. I fail to see how a flexible tube allows for a smooth surface. But I agree with you, tube=flexible.

As everyone else has said, it's a universal kit essentially.

Weapon R came out with a kit early on that was as Focus specific as this one. It is an identical design concept with a hose that you can run to a "cooler" part of the car.

Unfortunately, the problem is that there is no room to the right of the intake area, so that hose can't be used. Not only that but as a few other people mentioned, you'd be better off with other intakes (including K&N's others) for better performance.

They way to use this kit is to hang it down, with the tube going down to the driver's triangle to get fresh air. You will need a MAF tube to put your electronics in, like this:http://www.pepboys.com/product/detai...27/?quantity=1, and coupler to connect the MAF to the K&N. Make a mount similar to what Newmission did to hang his hose and connect it to one of the bolts on the K&N filter case. Should work well.

I ordered mine today from here:http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-...563071195.html
Not too bad only $58 where most places on line have it going for $107 and up.
When I get it in I'll take pics for everyone to see.
