I need BOOOOST!!!!!!

ive also been curious about whether or not it would hold more power than the stock crank under boost for sure. has anyone ever actually pushed a 2.3 stroker that far?

Another thing to note and ponder is that the fully stroked version might also produce better gas mileage, needing fewer revs for similar power. Hard to say though, unless someone with knowledge of both setups chimes in on that one. |

I would say that tom would be the best source for that info since he has had hands on so many

All those are turbo. The red one is a member here, doesn't post much, and lives in Wisconsin. The silver one is also a member, lives in Florida. I can't recall the others off-hand. Rudel is the only one I know of currently running the stroker kit, but again on a boosted car. I don't recall anyone using it for N/A even in the past. |

there was some hot rod magazine that did it several years ago. a friend gave me the mag because of my focus interests and ive since lost it but if memory serves they got like 280whp out of it N/A. they were running a custom ported head and some custom crower cams as well and twisted it to almost 9k rpms on the dyno. pretty wild car. oh yeah it had ITB as well. God i wish i could remember the name of that magazine

My 10 thousand dollar (& still counting) Stroker Zetec will never see boost. My latest goal is to have it running by memorial day.The biggest test for this engine is gonna be how it will survive as a daily driver for the next 25 years or so. Time will tell.

I could probably get by just fine with just the one kit though by swapping to the 2L for winter season, and using the stroked one during track season. I do believe they'll be more reliable as a dedicated DD when stroked though; fewer rpms for same power means less wear on the cyl walls/rings. I'm still curious about the gas mileage, performance reliability, and crank strength, though. |

After about 10 to 15k miles of high revving (8k redline) miles of extreme cold/heat, high altitude DD stop & go city driving, I'm hoping to know all the do's & dont's of using nitrious by then & really put it to the test. I'll get some pic's up once the warm weather starts.
