Pitch Black SVT

Kinda a half-a$$ photoshop but I think I am gonna go gunmetal with the SVT logo on the hatch. I am not a fan of chrome and I think this looks sweet. Plastidip has a new color that would be exactly what I want. Charcoal something.




Any thoughts? Or guys that have done this with a actual picture?

Slight update, nothin much.

The head is back on as well as the header. The cams need to be put back in and then the engine timed. After that it should be ready for spring.

Also got new plugs. The ones in there were still from the factory an since it was all out, might as well.


Had to get a new radiator and condenser. : (

I knew they were most likely beyond saving as they were pretty bent up. Somebody must have bumped a parking block pretty good.

Well that's all for now. Can't wait for it to be warm.

Meanwhile I got a Steeda STS.

And my GlowShift voltage gauge arrived today! Will be buying a water temp and oil pressure one in the next month or whenever my wallet recovers. Lol

Car came out today. First time driving it in about 7 months. Felt sooo good to drive it.

Also I have been working on a gauge pod idea for the headliner. I think it is to much work and would look bulky. So, the little pods that come with the gauge will work just fine. All I have to do it mount them. They are in a perfect location for me.

Here is a crappy tape mock up but basically I am gonna stick them to the windshield. Should work out great.

Just drove around with the solid shift bad Inserts installed. It feels very firm now. It's nice. Def worth the $40.

Now it's time for the Steeda shifter!

Looking good so far. Not sure what to think of the overhead guage pod but i do like to see something that i haven't seen done!

Just finished installing the new shifter. I took it for a 10 min drive. WOW. That is such a big difference. The shifts feel firm and precise. I cant wait to drive it some more! There is still some wobble in the shifter from left to right. I am not sure if anything can be done to help it.

Everything is tight and the only thing that has play in it is the linkage next to the shifter. Is there a way to tighten that up to get rid of the slack?

Wrapped my shifter bezel in vinyl last night. Turned out better than I expected.

Installed with the short throw.
