TPS Sensor Replacement Question

I am dealing with the fabulous TPS Sensor issue on my 2001 ZX3 Focus. It is a automatic transmission, I am looking at several parts dealers and they show a Motorcraft TPS Sensor available :

Manufacturer: Motorcraft

Manufacturer Part No: DY-871

Can someone tell me if this is for the manual or automatic transmission TPS?

I know there has been many postings saying automatic TPS Sensors were hard to find by themselves, does someone know if this particular part will work on automatics?

When I messed my tps sensor up, I called Summit Racing and they had me a new 1 in a few days. Sorry I don't remember the part # but give them a call or look on their web page and it should be listed.

Thanks, I checked with them, they only had one for the manual transmission, I appreciate the information.

You might want to check with a dealer's parts department, if I remember right the replacement involves an updated throttle body & sensor as a complete package....

Ya I ate $375.00 purchasing the new throttle body and adaptor today.... you should see all the false information I received from parts suppliers... they were all quick to sell me one, but once I asked whether it was for manual or automatic, they all backed off... the world if flooded with manual transmission TPS's.

Glad it worked out, even though the price was painful....

Still better than a long saga of trying parts that're SUPPOSED to fit, and don't....
