2012 Focus SE

Unfortunately, I had an accident in my 2002 Focus SVT, and it was a total loss. After much deliberation, I decided to get another Focus

I found a CPO Silver Grey Metallic 2012 Ford Focus SE hatchback, with 22k miles, and the sport and winter packages. Jstn drove me to Chicago, and then Jgray got me the rest of the way to Milwaukee in a heavy snowstorm to pick it up on February 7th

Embarrassingly I have not taken nice photos of it yet, but I might as well go ahead and share these shellphone pics.

And oh, I love it, the interior is a big step up, the sound insulation is impressive, it has 5 doors, a great motor, and a warranty. The motor is a direct injected 2.0 with twin independent variable camshaft timing, 12:1 CR, and conservatively factory rated at 160hp/148ftlbs. I've been getting about 34-37mpg on the highway, and 20-30 in town (obviously widely varying based on driving pattern).

Swapped the aftermarket delrin shift knob from the SVTF, since they share the same thread and boot attachment method

I'm leaving the wheels and tires alone for now, but once I get a bunch of my spares sold from the 2002 Focus, I want to get some red wheels on it. Tirerack has a cheap set of Sparco's that would fit well:



Would that look good, or am I crazy?

I think the wheels will look good! Btw, I do not miss that weather! I left Illinois a few years ago.

Like the wheels because they are light but what other colors do they offer?

I like the red wheels - and say you should definitely look for the OEM burgundy interior trim to match.
