both your statements are very true.. i mean if the headlights are turned on, as at night, they don't go out because a signal is activated...so why should they go out when used as a DRL? We've all been able to see, very well, signal lights even at night w/ the h/lights on... it's silly.

I am super satisfied with my Echomaster DRLs. They are very bright, work perfectly and look good.

Biggest problem with those is when grill options come out "hint hint" then you cant change

In the US they Don't... its a module you would have to have turned on, or just put your own in.

So, is DRL something the dealer can tell your BCM to "turn on"?

yes, that's correct ... for all u.s. foci (non-fleet...fleet comes w/ them on already i hear). Be aware, tho, ALL your exterior lights will be on all the time....
annoying, imo...
