what would be better the svt header swap or the long tube header setup from fswerks

Most people seem to agree on the svt header as being the best for the zetec. I love mine but I have no idea what the fswerks one is like. For the svt header you have to either have a bung welded in for the egr or get a tune to turn it off.

Also for the svt header you need an svt flex pipe and either an svt or cfm cat or an orp.

Check the BST section, I think there are a couple of svt headers on there. And take a look at this thread, I got a lot of info from it when I did my swap.

I welded in a bung to keep mine functional so I couldn't tell you. I did it myself but I bet that it would cost less than a tune to have an exhaust shop weld an egr bung on for you.

You want to know the difference from someone who has hands on knowledge of both kinds? FSWerks header is nice as long as you don't mind a lot of noise. I had the race header, flex pipe and a JBA exhaust installed on my car and thought that I was going to go deaf from driving it like that. Needless to say it only lasted on my car for 3 months before I was annoyed with it. I then switched over to the SVT set up and it was the best thing I have ever done. Out of both headers, I would have to say that the SVT feels a better fit. As for quality, the SVT header wins hands down since it is made of stainless steel. The FSWerks header is mild steel which rusts really bad in a short period of time.

Hands down the SVT header , better performance , SVT header is stainless , no ricy noise it is a little harder to install but worth it when finished
