I didn't notice that much more mpg when I lowered it. When I put the front pan and the rear diffuser on is when I noticed my mpg gain.

You can always paint or powder coat these. I had no reason to do to the car being lower. You don't see them.

I like the rear diffusor but still $250 is too much for it.

Primitive sells theirs for the subaru community for $160-$190 depending on thickness and are much nicer finished.

That also looks like a lot less aluminum, which isn't cheap.

Can we make it out of 16-18gauge steel? maybe "roll-ribbed" for strength, and cheaper then aluminum?

Where i bought mine steel is 2 times more expensive than aluminum, fiberglass would probably be the cheapest.

2012-Focus, have you tried venting the bumper, basically cutting out the diamonds on the black part of the bumper, to allow whatever air gets caught between the diffuser and the car to escape and not create a high pressure zone. Or is there so little air movement in there it wouldn't make a difference? The Zetec S Foci looks like it has a vent in the middle of the bumper/diffuser.

Little, if any air get caught up there now. But that is an idea for others.

Time to dig this thread up from the dead. I am very interested in both front ad rear diffusers, and I think the price is fair. Are you still able to make these Chaos?
I won't be able to get them for a few months, but like I said, I am very interested.

PS. Awesome work you did with both, they look great.

Not at the moment. I should be able to start these in the next few months. Buying a new plasma cutter and welder.
