As big as they are, the interiors are a bit cramped... Honda Fit is much better for interior space.

Right now, they're non existent . But whatever car I buy next will be around for at least five years, when we'll likely have a kiddo or two. So it will have to be car-seat friendly and still have enough room in the hatch for "baby stuff". Luckily I'm only 5'9" and like to sit rather close to the wheel. I'll really have to compare the Fiesta's interior space to my SVT, with which we haven't had any space issues yet.

Those Fits are absolute freaks when it comes to interior space. The rear seats fold flat to the floor due to the fuel tank being under the front seats.

If thats the case , you'll be just fine . That was 1 of my peeves too about the interior not being big enough but it really has plenty of room if you are in it and the seats are almost like racing seats and they hold you in place . Kinda wish they were in the Focus along with the mirrors that have the blind spot integrated in with the big mirror so you never have to turn around .

There is no Mk3 3-door Focus, in any market. And the UK is the only market to get the 3-door Fiesta, not even the rest of the Europeans get it. Not sure if it's a cost/production decision or a market/demand decision.

Now what I really want is that Focus ST wagon....

I stand corrected, I was getting mixed up with the 3 door fiestas that I saw in Europe (although a 3 door focus would be cool, probably would never happen) But it would be so easy for Ford to One-Ford us a a 3 door fiesta right over the pond!

The wagon is sweet too, but I think a naturally aspirated version would fit in in the US better

I'd love to see Ford push its One Ford campaign a bit further... Let us have the 1.6t in the Focus, 6-speed manuals in everything in every trim level, the wagon Focus and Fusion, 3-door Fiestas, the global Ranger (omfg want), and try to get some diesels here. I understand that certain markets simply don't have enough demand to support production for these things, and that US emissions standards are a diesel-killer, but it would be kind of cool if they manufactured all/most the cars such that they pass US import laws and crash testing, and were available through overseas shipping for a fee or price premium or something.

At this point though I'm pretty happy with what we're getting in the Mk3 Focus and Fiesta, so don't want to look the gift horse in the mouth

I am curious as to how the Mustang will be received in Europe when they get it!
