I will inspect the brake sensors. No way to tell which one? I checked the odometer and there's no codes there.

I'm not sure if I'll pass with the ABS light on or not. After all, it's emissions testing, not safety...but then again, it is Kalifornia.

I'll keep an eye out for a used oem cat on here. Going to call some of the junkyards and see if I can buy a used one there. Knowing this state, it's probably against the law to buy a used one.

EZ to do by yourself. Find the part at any key making place. call around it easy.

My issue now, is that my key slides out in any position, but turns and starts. I got another key off Ebay, so I'm going to see if a locksmith will program the key and fix my problem for a few bills. It's low on my priority list right now, with finals coming up in 2 weeks. :|

Why would the PO have a straight pipe and have the O2 sensors still in?

Well the upstream one is mandatory for A/F ratio. The downstream sensor is supposed to monitor the cat, since there isn't one you'll need a MIL eliminator, a tune, or a drilled out spark plug non-fouler to get rid of the P0420 code.

I don't want to spend the money twice. It's running rich now...pretty certain, anyway. I want to put a cat on and get it up to spec, since I'll have to have it smogged in 1.5 years, anyway. Or if I ever need/want to sell or trade it.

Found a local shop to put on a cat and exhaust system. On the drive home, all of my codes went away except for one.

Camshaft timing retarded.

Where is this sensor, so I can test (and/or replace) it before I take it back to the shop and claim that he didn't do it correctly?

I see info on how to fix by setting the timing, but I've already paid to have that done. I just want to be able to test, to insure it's not a sensor or something...

So, the mechanic told me to pull the VCT solenoid and blow it out. I did then cleared the code.
It came back on this morning on the way to work, so the SVT will be headed to the shop for the mechanic to fix. :/
