No, not all 2012 Job 2, or 2013 Focus models are flex fuel, as there is such a thing as the California emissions and or the P-ZEV models with two catalysts which are not compatible with ethanol blends greater than 10-15%.

Mine is not flex fuel. Cars that comply with the SULEV reduced emissions thing that california mandates are not flex fuel capable

Can anyone show me documentation where Shell V-Power has no ethanol? They're not bragging about it on their own website & I had no luck Googling it.

I often go to one of a couple Exxon stations in our county that offer 90 octane recreational vehicle fuel. It is labeled 100% gas with no Ethanol added. I see very good fuel mileage improvements. On the level of 3-4mpg better. Even in my old 2007 Edge, I saw on average a 3-4mpg improvement.

This is combined driving.

Ethanol= more fuel consumption. Just the nature of the beast.

In the U.S. that's unlikely as road fuel requires at least 10% ethanol afaik per government decree based on what was pushed through during the 2000s.

Some of the recreational fuel if available might be ethanol free, but I doubt any Shell fuel V-Power or not lacks ethanol for road use.

When I filled up the other day at Shell, it IS marked on the pumps (at least in Edmonton!)
87 up to 10%
89 up to 5 %
91 none

All other stations I believe use up to 10% ethanol.

Correct me if I'm wrong, aside from some stations (Petrocanada) using gasoline antifreeze, isn't the big part of winter blends is that they contain ethanol?

That's Canada, in the U.S. all fuel must contain ethanol here in order to meet some bogus alternative fuel regulation requiring x amount of renewable energy consumed per year. Most pumps are marked up to 10% ethanol, but they may or may not contain much more which would damage engines and fuel systems.

How would it damage the engine and fuel system?
