A few issues with 05 I bought ...

I just got my 05 Ford Focus ZX4 in December, because I was in desperate need of a car asap. Its cute , kinda plain on the inside (no electric windows or locks) Anyways, we noticed the heater/vent switch started sticking, but eventually would move, The past few days its STUCK in one position, We cant turn it at all, feels like itll break if we force it..Any ideas? Plus its stuck in floor/defrost mode- NO heat is coming out on the floor-my legs were freezing.
Plus, the passenger seat belt light keeps coming on saying the air bag isnt on, if someone is belted in .
Not to mention the tires are crap-but Ill handle that this weekend. My husband yells how I should just take it back, its a lemon, Im explaining, Its not that easy. Any help??? Thank You.

my 05 used to do the switch sticking thing in the summer when I would turn on the A/c after it hadn't been used all winter and in the fall when I would switch it over to heat. I guess because those selections hadn't been used in a few months. I never did find a fix for it,I just try to remember to cycle through all the settings about once a month and haven't had a problem since then.

Get yourself a Ford Workshop manual off Ebay

Then go to http://www.fordparts.com/ plug in your VIN number and get the diagrams that show the switch assembly- It will take some fiddling to get the right picture as it is not too friendly for newbies

Your major problem is that it is COLD there now
