making svt seats heated

I drive a zx3 and I am looking to turn my non heated seats into heated seats. I was wondering if anyone knows if the piece in the center console where the shift boot is can pop out and be changed with the svt one to be able to have the buttons for the heated seats? Or would i have to change the whole center console?

the SVT surround should fit just like stock.

That depends. I had to change the whole console in mine. If there are no buttons there to begin with, that piece is molded on there. At least my 06 was that way...

Well if you need any help with the wiring side of it I can supply the ford factory wiring diagrams to help you in the right direction. I'm actually interested in doing this myself, I believe that all the SVT seats come equipped with the heating elements in the seats as well as all the wiring. Basically, what Ford does is for items like this that are options they put dead end connectors on them to make those options inoperative, in other words aside from an upgraded stereo every Focus is wired and for the most part equipped with all the options you just need to connect the wires.

all i got it all straightened out. all done wired up the heated seats into the console and everything else works great!

If do a google search on Focus wiring diagram you will see link to a pdf on an ftp site.
That has the complete Ford Focus diagram.

I have seen the wiring for the heated seats when I switched consoles but did not even think about the heating elements already being installed, has anyone verified this? That would be uber cool:)

NOTE: heating elements are not already installed in the seats if they do not have heated seats. I had to install the elements in the seats also, this requires removing the seat covers and all.
