definitely worth it, I know you never get back the money you spent on mods when you decide to sell it on but its nice to give you car some extras to make it your own

Without reading through the entire thread, if you love cars then it's worth it. If we take the economics angle, why don't we all live in tiny apartments, drive tiny cars, eat only protein and nutritional products, and all wear the same mundane clothing?

It's simple, we are all individuals. Individuals like to express themselves in different ways. There are so many different ways for one to express their individuality. Clothes, jewelry, music, art, etc. Modding a car can be an art. It can also be a way to compete, show off, have fun, etc.

For someone like me, it is definitely worth it.

Worth as in the sense of a dollar return, such as investing in ones house...no not at all.

Like LiL PZEV said
"It is NOT financially worth it, and anyone who thinks it is is foolish."

However I do think it is worth it in the sense of personal expression. if you have the money and the time to do then then great. I myself plan to do some mods, especially cosmetically, exhaust, body kit, rims, lights that's it for now.

The same question could be asked= Is it worth it to buy the top model vs the base version of the same model car? Or a $1500-$3000. option?
