also busiest this thread has been after 4:30 in... ever.
If I get on it I can hear the engine just fine, sounds rather nice, but on a highway cruise it is not overpowering like the old car was. Maybe its too quiet at a cruise, but I kind of like it that way. Most of the exhaust sound clips I've heard sound terrible, but that might just be the microphones.

The magnaflow catback exhaust sounds really ricey/ raspy on the 2.0 L GDI engine. You'd think they would know better, but I guess they think people like that crap.

12:1 compression is nice.

Ok, so?

I was trying to start a conversation about exhaust modifications, but so far nothing I've heard really has sold me on changing it yet. The startup sound was nice on the FSWerks stealth exhaust, I've heard it in person, but its still been said to have some drone or resonance in the cabin at times. I'm not sure if that would be tolerable anymore, I'm tired of putting up with the headaches and aggravations of an excessively loud exhaust on a car.

If anything it was a shock the last time I sat in the back of my old car on the way to borrow an old suburban from a friend of my father for the weekend as he needed to move a lot of crap. It was dreadfully loud, and I couldn't believe I had driven it for that long, nearly 3 full years and over 44,000 miles.

Seems like very similar statements were made about lowering and exhaust on a Subie not that long ago.
