Let me know WHEN Ford is willing to fix my transmission instead of telling me I am crazy or driving it wrong . I don't think you should be able to drive an automatic wrong because...its an AUTOMATIC! Its obvious that something is wrong with my clutches that is getting the blind eye turned to it. There is also no way in hell I am driving any farther to a dealership so if they want another opinion they can come pick the POS up!

This is the worse costumer survive I have experienced...and I mean it with a passion.

/end pissed of rant

Thanks though Cory but I would rather not waste the CSM's time since he is probably not going to do/be able to do anything.

Just some advice to Snow12 and others. From my experience, if you give up, you lose. I have found if you are right about something, particularly a consumer item like a car, you will get your situation resolved. One must be calm, able to listen, be persistent and have preservereness. It is hard to have a car that you have spent a lot of money on and stay cool when you feel you are being ignored and not getting the service you feel you should have performed. I have monitored these emails regarding trans issues and I am convinced that there is some software issue and some cars have oil leaks in their clutches. I am also convinced that Ford does not have the TSB finalized for these cars to fix the software. Just a theory. I believe there will be resolution for this issue too. I would hang in there. Keep in contact with your dealer and Cory. Doing nothing and being mad helps no one.

Me too, me too. Let's get together and have a beer and discuss how absolutely terrible Ford's customer service is.

Youíre welcome, snow12. Itís definitely not a waste of time when it helps to get your ride fixed. Have you considered a second opinion?

Have a good time, Strix. Meanwhile, let me know via PM when you plan on going in to check on your concern so I can help.

Cory

Cory
There are no other places for me to get a second opinion. I guess I am just going to have to drive my car until the transmission quits before Ford sees a problem with it. I am super happy that the engine is based off of a Mazda platform because at least that means it will work right :/

My dealer was able to "fix" the grinding by updating the PCM to the newest revision (I'm assuming it was the 2013 version). It doesn't shift into 6th until 40mph and it still slips uphill and vibrates into 2nd/4th. The issue NOW is that it's harder to get it to make the grinding noise - so all of the dealers say "nothing is wrong".

I feel like it was a band-aid fix for a hardware issue. Like, once the clutch starts "grinding", can it be fixed with ONLY software updates? I don't even know if the grinding was heat/glazing/oil related.

Call FORD investor relations or the CEO's office and complain. Most corporations have teams to handle these calls and get you some resolution.

I have a fun idea for warning others about the MK3 transmission and/or to get my dealership's attention to fix my own, but I feel like it's illegal.
