There is no s/c setup for the duratec in the focus currently.

As to stock internals duratecs, top speed pushed a stock duratec to 460whp before it blew up. And they have a customer driving around with 380whp.

Fswerks even has duratecs driving around with 300whp stock internals.

they wont last long with that much hp on stocks. sorry but it wont. its not worth it

It won't last if you're in boost at 7k rpm every day. But for a daily, especially with an ebc, its fine.

How much power can a stock auto trans hold and be safe? And how much would it be to give a 2.3 about 225-250 hp, NA ofcourse.

as far as I know the focus hasn't seen that high of number from NA but if it does it would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOO incredibly hard to use for DD it would be damn near impossible. that's like rally type performance

What could it do NA? Want fairly good HP, but don't wanna drop the $ for a turbo that I really wouldn't get the use out of. Its a DD too.

Its torque that auto transmissions worry about. And a high HP NA build won't have anywhere near the amount of torque a turbo'd engine makes.

You want a transmission that will be able to handle the power you should look at Lentech's website. Their built transmissions are rated to handle 500whp. Good luck trying to blow that thing up!

Yea, but i'm sure thats a pretty penny. I'd rather just do a 5 speed swap if it came to having to upgrade the auto.

Thats the only way to go w/ a turbo 4.
