Replied to your PM. I can't remember what else was on the belt just that it had yellow lettering and said "made in Italy" on it. I highly recommend the Gates brand t-belt kit, the newest one of that kit has a revised tensioner pulley. Here is a pic of that kit, it's the one I helped a local member put on his SVT last month.

Well the SVT focus is an interference engine, which means the valves and piston cross each other's motion path. But with the right timing, they won't hit each other.

But over time or if the timing belt loosens or breaks, then they will run into each other. Causing your valves to bend or bust a piston head.

Dont know if it's a common problem but my car has both axle seals worn out , so it's leaking some oil outside of the tranny ( car has 160 k btw). Also had the common thermostat housing problem but fixed it with an improved version (both repairs are pretty easy and cheap).

Trans Mount on mine just had to be replaced at 138xxx. Other then that there are no real issues with my car and in the month I have owned my SVT she has been beat hard. Been through 2 Snow Rallys and is driven daily no problems that I can see.

I have 235k on my 02 SVT. Just regular maintenance and fixing things when they go bad.

^^ Nice amount of mileage you got there.

And yea, any ride you take care of and maintain on a daily basis will last a good long time.

You definitely need to get confirmation on that. Bought an 02 SVt EAP about 2 years ago from a guy with about 115,000 miles on it..he said the timing belt was done. At 122,000 the timing belt broke. I spent $800 bucks before being told to buy a new engine. I have sold that one and bought a new one since.
