Just picked up my 2013 Titanium and I've only driven it 10 km so far but ...
I've already swapped out the driver's visor for one with Homelink and in the process of getting everything setup I noticed that the IA fobs look identical to those from my Edge. It got me to thinking that if I could program the Focus to recognize one of the Edge fobs then we'd have 4 keys that work on both vehicles and would only have to carry a single key around with us.
The manual says I have to go back to the dealership to get additional keys programmed but seeing as how they want over $100 to put on snow tires that were all ready mounted and balanced, I'd rather not have to go back to get gouged for anything not warranty related. Does anybody have the procedure for the Focus? I was hoping that it was similar to the process for the Edge but there are enough differences with the operation of the "Start" button (no accessory mode) and the door locks (single button vs separate lock/unlock functions) between the two vehicles that I couldn't get the process to work with the Focus.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
