Power Locks and Windows........
So I looked for the intro section....Missed?
Anyways. I just bought a 2008 Ford Focus Sedan, It is a stick and has no power locks or windows. Has anybody ever converted over to power? If so any help would be appriciated. I'd like to install an alarm also, maybe one that had actuators for the power locks? I have been doing car audio for years, and I'm sure this has been done, Just looking for some Help. Thanks plans for this car are, paint, wheels, lowered, Audio, and turbo/performance |

Converting to power windows/locks...... in my opinion its just a headache but to each their own.
the simplest way is pretty much go to autozone get 4 window regulators with rails, gut your original doors, put your new ones in. There should be some unused fuses, not sure with your make.... wire it there. The only problem you run into is the doors wont have switches to roll your windows up or down, or door locks. So off to the junk yard, or some oem parts store. For the alarm, depending on what your looking for you can get all kinds of alarm systems from sonicelectronix.com, but they don't make a "window roller- upper" specific button on alarm keys. But all that you need to do is make some kind of wire configuration telling your car to roll down the windows when you hit said button. If you're a car audio guy im pretty sure you can figure this out. |

sorry, I had to do a second post.
Like i said in that first post, its a pain in the neck. I honestly would save your money, and go straight to turbo/performance or lowering it. Nothing's cooler than a sleeper focus blowing buy some civic punk. Or a lowered focus to make everyone's head turn. |

Thanks Red, Think I'm gonna go look for a wrecked one and pull the the pannels and all out of them. Also looking for a lip kit for it all the way around. Some 18s, and slam it. I talked to CFM today and he headed me down the right path for now....

it all can be done if you would like to. easiest option would be to get new doors from another focus that already have power locks and windows. otherwise you can add them aftermarket. mounting the locks can be difficult in some cars to get them set properly so they work right, but wiring isn't a big deal. windows are easier to mount, but require more wiring to get them going.
