this, 99% of the users on this site will have little to no experience with that style Focus...we didnt get them in the states. Are you able to find a focus that has the manual in it to verify what it means? Our US spec manuals will be of no help either

I know I don't have one - If I had a source I'd more than willing to share it.

Based on experience, sometimes the obvious is most often overlooked - even if there is a manual in the glovebox, not that there may be.

Why guess? - that could get expensive. Or just watch your rpm's when driving and see if the tach is consistent with gear/rpm and illumination.

The shift light is an upward facing red arrow.
That small round LED you mention is a check light.
I suggest plugging in an OBD reader to pull codes.
Cheers - Gavin.

Hi.
The small unmarked red light next to the speedo means 'Check message centre (urgent)' and the amber one next to the rev counter means 'Check message centre (important)'. Should probably show a large , $ or symbol instead according to your territory of course. Diagram here http://www.drivingnt.com/downloads/focus_dash.pdf
HTH.
Colin.
