Delta Sonic Wheel Rail Concerns

Hi Guys.
I just traded my well loved but gas guzzling F-150 for a 2013 Focus SE Hatchback. My F-150 has always gone through Delta Sonic Car wash with no concern. I am wondering though about my new Focus and the wheels getting scratched by the wheel rail of the car wash. My F-150 had big tall tires so the rail only contacted the tire. The focus has 215-55-16 tires. From what I can tell, the tire side wall protrudes a bit farther out from the wheel itself so the wheel may not even contact the car wash rail. Does anyone have any experience here to share?
Thanks for the help!
Dom

I have 16s too and only scratched them when I pulled in wrong. It's worth noting I have wheel covers/steel wheels.

Thanks for the reply. I dont have the steel wheel with covers so I am a bit concerned. It sounds like if you pull straight into the y shaped track without hitting the sides you will be ok. Is that what you are saying?
Thanks again!

Yes, if you pull in correctly, you'll be fine. I go to two different washes, one has guys directing you, which doesn't work as well. But the other has a huge mirror, and a wide entrance, so you can't fudge it up.

And if they do end up scratching, you can always consider one of those where you pay by time and do it yourself. lol

Well I went to Delta Sonic today...with just over 100 miles on my new car. I rolled the window down and guided myself in (much to the dislike of the attendant). Between the amount that the tire bulges out and the fact that I lined up a bit right of center, I ent through with no problems! My tires are 215-55-16.
