Good thing I linked to quick roof and not peel and seal. Not asphalt based. Plenty of friends have used it in their cars with no problems, no more rattles, and no asphalt smell.

Hell no! I did my whole truck in that BS... Your friends must have never used real deadening then.

My car is done in AlphaDamp. Good stuff. Plate is deadened and I have a piece of foam behind it. Only thing that rattles is my spoiler....

Exactly what these guys said... the peel and seel has zero deadening properties and is a waste of time and money. While the above brands are great I have found that dynamat extreme is actually the same price if not cheaper than second skin if you buy it on amazon. on amazon the bulk pack is $125 while at stores it is $300. I actually used a new brand NVX for my doors and it is simply great and a fraction of the cost of others!

This would be more than enough to do your doors and your entire hatch door and then some.
I did the entire trunk of my sedan with 36sqft and did double layers in several places.

Still its the same thing as peel and seal... while it is not asphalt based it has no sound deadening properties that the others are specifically designed for... also the actual car audio brands(even the thinnest) are 4 times the thickness of what you have suggested.

WTF? I heard Quick Roof went to butyl adhesive. Friends still haven't had any problems with the stuff. They all layered it. 3 in the trunk. 2 for the rest.
