To answer your question (as I have the same car), it is designed to remember. Yours is not acting right. My car remembers the last set temp when I start my car up every time. I would schedule an appointment with your dealer. Perhaps your control head is bad.

I was just getting ready to say my 13 ST remembers the setting's possible memory wire not hooked up, or as misfire stated control head bad.

Same thing with mine. 12 sel here, it remembers the last set temp everytime i start my car. I just test it again and it works. You need to bring your car in the dealer and ask them about it and compare your cars auto climate ctrl to another same model in the dealers lot to let them know what you mean.

There are a number of different setups available for your truck, zetecDon. I recommend checking the “Climate Controls” in the 2010MY F-150 Owner Guide 3rd Printing starting on page 59.
