New Wheels

I'm am in the process of picking up some OEM 16inch 5 spoke wheels for my 2006 Wagon. They are the non SVT style, but are not the split spokes. These have been Remanufactured and are in like new condition, I'd be looking to pay $450 to buy the set and to get them here.

Good price? or should I look elsewhere?
Any suggestion on tires with good mileage and for a good price?

i think it seems kinda pricey unless it's what you want but better deals can be had, on here in the market place, craigslist and even ebay at times

My 16" wheels I purchased brand new from Discount Tire Direct were $440 for wheels delivered. They are DRAG 19s. I had winter tires put on them but the rim price is set. TireRack also has some real good deals on Rims.

Thanks for the reference Fly but I personally haven't found any aftermarket 16" wheels that I like, all the ones I have found are 17s. I'd rather not go 17s so that I can save a little money when it comes to tire replacements.

I've decided to keep my eye out for some factory wheels and hopefully a set will come up that I like in my price range.

We've got about 50 wheels available in a 16" for that year, make and model.

The price diff from 16" to 17" isn't that much so do some research on your tire prices. 16"s were too small for my taste. Check out the Drag 34s which has further spaced and less spokes which I might be switching to.

I unfortunatly have had an issue with one of the wheels and found out the gunmetal color is discontinued and the wheel was covered by the warranty but didn't disclose anything about a "what if" popped up. Fortunatly Discount stepped up and will give me a new set of wheels in place of the Drag 19s. My wife doesn't want black 19s and the silver is too silver for me which is why i hate giving up the GM color so it looks like I'll be swapping over to the Drag 34s which the black color didn't bother my wife with this style so looks like it's a go.

I noticed that you calipers were red. They look good! Did you paint them and what product did you use? Dubro? I want to paint mine blue to match the car. Definatley sucks about the rims, I am amazed they discountinued those, they are really nice wheels.
