Good for you that your dealership does that for you. Most will not. The factory warranty does not cover aftermarket accessories, Ford or otherwise. If the aftermarket accessory was found to be the cause of whatever problem it would not be covered.

it seems like the dealers in RI are some of the best was in florida for a sunroof issue and couldn't get over the half assed assement and the need to hurry me along. Tasca another dealership in RI offeres a three year warranty on all accessories

Yeah I seen those before. I just never liked having to cut stock harness wire. Specially when it is a sorta new vehicle..
