rs parts you say??

i'm jelly. mainly want the rs collections rear, but the rest wouldn't be bad. still want a wide body for my zx5 that doesnt look like crap.

Yeah, I keep bouncing back and forth with the vents, but it would be a lot of work making them functional and I may only do the PS fender anyways. The drivers side doesn't have a speck of rust on it so it wouldn't really be worth fitting, painting, and installing it if I'm taking it back of a few months later to put on an RS fender.

It will take a little more work but I bet you could get an RS wide body on a zx5. The only part you'd have to modify is the fender on the door which could be done. It think it would look amazing.

true.
some people view the vents as "rice" but its not like its a stick on vent from Autozone or whatever.

but if you aren't doing both sides, i wouldn't worry about it much...

if you are going to take it off in a few months, i wouldn't worry about filling the vent. it would just be alot of work and effort to just to fill it and use it for a few months.

yeah i have thought of that.. would just have to cut the flare and fiberglass the ends to seal it against the door and whatnot.

just a hefty price to try and see if it would work.
and i don't have the best 'glassing skills.. but its still a maybe. would love a widebody for its track build. wider tires without massive poke.

^^ It could be done. It would be a bit of work but I've thought about it a lot after you mentioned it and I think it could be done fairly simply. The front would be a piece of cake but the back is the problem. If you'd buy the parts, I'd help you put them on.

I believe GP will have a widebody RS replica kit for the zx5 this spring. Only problem then is getting the front wheels to move out cuz the flare is about and inch+. Would need custom wheel offsets or big ass spacers which the spacers would kill your wheel bearings in short order. Their kit uses flares instead of actual flared fenders. Which is kinda a good thing considering actual RS fenders will run you about $500-$600+ each and requires the liners and brackets for about another $100 and of course you then have to have the front bumper so add about another $400-$500 lol. Hurtinfocus is working on his glass versions slowly which could be an affordable option for the fenders but I'm not a big fan of glass parts. For the rear you would almost have to go with flares cuz the rear quarters are almost impossible to find and are even more expensive. Mounting them requires extensive cutting and rewelding too. Not to mention trying to modify rear RS quarters to go on a zx5 or 4 door sedan.
