Purchasing a 02 Focus

Hey guys,
I recently crashed my 05 ZX4 and have found a 02 SVT that I am going to look at and probably pick up tonight. Anyone have any thoughts on these or know any general problems? I have been looking for a SVT for years some specs on the car are that it is 02 137xxx on it bone stock new tires new clutch and no problems. I work for Ford but havent seen many SVT's come through so just checking the forums. Thanks for any opinions thoughts anything like that. Also the asking price is 4500. Looks awesome, and definitely a fair price, IMHO. Make sure to ask for the maintenance history, oil changes and whatnot. I'd drive the heck out of it!

ask about the timing belt make sure it has been done cause ford scheduled it at 120k but have been known to snap i changed the original one on my svt at 112 and was playing with tensioner and it snapped yea i saw that focus on cl if i didnt have mine and lived in that area would have looked at it but svts are far and few between up here in wisconsin ive seen like only like a hand full of them not including mine lol

Thanks Guys. I just got her home and she is amazing. I took her for a test drive fell in love. The car has no problems. It is a previous 1 owner car and he had records for everything from the day it was purchased. The Timing belt was replaced at about 111xxx. I know what you mean about the SVT's being a hard breed to find in Wisconsin. I know of maybe 3 or 4 other people here that own them other than you and I. Thanks for the advice and tips and so fourth. I will post some more pictures tomorrow when I am at work. Time to clean her up, oil change, trans, motor, and coolant flush, and tire rotation.

Hey guys sorry it has been a few days since I posted any pictures had a family emergency come up with my Grandfather Larry ending up in ICU. I have gotten some down time from work and everything else so here are a few new pics some are in my shop some are outside. So far the car is treating me wonderfully and have even started adding some basic bolt on's along with upgrading to the Baer 13 inch swap which should be done here in the next few days here are some of the current pics.

Man... Makin me jealous! If I had known more about the focus when I bought mine, I definitely would have tried to find an SVT.

Now, I may be a bit biased... But have you considered painting the wheels white?
