The ATS is the only real one to me. Next generation Regal if it goes on the alpha platform with the ATS.

It's not so much weight sensitive airbags at all. We calibrate them to know what a set weight is like (Ie Mustang is 54lbs or something) And then when that weight is reached it turns on the bag. If it's under that weight the bag remains off. Just a simple passenger occupant sensor kinda deal (at least to my knowledge that's how it works).

But yes Ford is very critical of the system so if any tweaks are made generally they want it recaled

Ahh, when we did that Roush tour, I thought they said they calibrate them because they fire based on your weight. That opens things up.

sometimes in the Fiat when porkchop is on the front seat the seat belt chime goes if hes sitting in the right spot haha

I think they just said because the re-skin the seats they have to re calibrate.. which is true. Ford is very sticklery for that ish. If your doing anything to the cushion or the trim it needs to be re-caled
