Ken Block Destroys Wheels, Keeps Driving

Maybe it's the "brand whore" side of me coming out, but I dig the stickered look. Not bombed, but a couple can really add to the look.

I plan on adding to my future focus:
Dragon Alliance sticker
Hoonigan sticker
Redbull sticker
Illest sticker (don't judge me)
"Because Racecar" sticker
Oh and "Rally Revolution" sticker, and
"Daily Driven" sticker
And maybe, just maybe a "freshas" sticker depending on how much I lower it
And stickers from mods I do too.

Yeah I know, but for as much time as he spends in the fiesta, I don't know that he actually does that much work for DC anymore besides marketing and product devel haha XD

Seems kind of counter to the image. The ideal expert driver wouldn't have hit the wall. Any idiot can smash up a car while throwing it around. The hard part would be throwing it around without breaking things.

In drifting it's beneficial for points to scrape the wall, so competition cars started to be designed with that in mind. The Fiesta has such a short rear end though that the wheel was right next to the wall.

Not very reassuring for Tarmac owners! Although I'd imagine that most of them won't be putting them through nearly as much stress. I wonder what fifteen52 has to say about this...

They say "thats what we made them to do". They make Blocks wheels so they break like that instead of bend/warp to the point where they mess up the $2,000 coil over and other suspension parts the sits right next to them. Couple hundred dolors of wheel or $2,000+ in suspension. Take your pick.

Straight from Chris@fifteen52 "They are not light but are very very strong. These are the same exact wheels that Ken Block runs on his WRC car. And his race team had us come up with a way to weaken the wheels so that the wheels would break instead of very expensive custom made suspension pieces."

i was waiting for that question to come up. if you look at the back of those wheels you can see the predesigned stress points where it is made to break apart in cases like this. very well designed product made specifically for this application and then also sold to the public.
